His latest works, while photographic in conception, have evolved to incorporate new technologies, like putting images on metal and as a result he has been able to stretch the medium and find a niche that not many have explored.
Roy Hancliff was born in Oxford England and is currently residing in Salmon Arm BC.

He is on a mission to capture what the naked eye cannot see and convey the true beauty and intricate detail of his subjects. His patience, dedication and all consuming passion are delighting Bird lovers and Art collectors alike.
Roy has chosen to exhibit his work using the sublimation printing technique. The original image is placed onto a special transfer paper that is placed onto a UV coated sheet of Aluminium. Then it is placed into a heat press at 400F where the high quality inks are turned into a gas without forming liquids that are then fused into the metal. The result is a highly glossy image that will leave people spell bound.
