ARABELLA ARCHITECTURAL PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST
EXPLORING THE COUNTRYSIDE
In the sense of fun and great adventure Arabella Magazine is encouraging our readers to explore the countryside and while doing so take pictures that capture your moments. Important to note is the fact that you can take photos from the street or from public walkways, but you may NOT take photos from people’s properties without asking their permission.
We have listed six styles of architecture below. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to drive the roads and streets of your neighbourhood or explore new neighbourhoods and start off on an adventure. While doing so bring your camera and (remembering the rule) above take photographs of houses you best think represent the styles listed below. Take as many as you want. We will showcase the 5 best examples of each architecture styles in our upcoming issue. There is also a grand price for the best example in each style. The overall winner will receive dinner, one night accommodation and breakfast for two people at The Rosseau, a JW Marriot Resort & Spa in Muskoka Lakes.
It is also important to note that while you are out cruising the streets and roads to keep your eyes wide open. We will be having another contest in the next spring issue to find the most beautiful houses in Canada and the U.S.A. So if you see a house you think qualifies take another picture and wait for the spring contest. The 10 best houses will be showcased in our summer magazine 2011 and there will be a grand prize. Below we have listed six different types of Architecture to be found around the country and even into the United States. We have included a brief description but that isn’t to stop you from doing your own research and coming up with some very clear guidelines as to what you should be looking for.
