JOHN LENNARD - Artist to Collect In the 1980s, musician John Lennard spent three years performing in concerts across Europe. On his afternoons off, he visited famous galleries and fell for the outstanding works of art. Returning to Canada, Lennard took an art class for “terrified beginners” and never looked back. Today his paintings reflect the theme of his very first solo show The Artist as a Traveller – true to form, he’s held studios in Paris, Berlin, New York, Tangiers and Barcelona and happily found jazz gigs playing the saxophone along the way.
